Case Study #3: Asbestos

This is an internal correspondence between two employees of Owens- Corning Fiberglas. The letter is from J.P. Kern to Dr. John Konzen (both Owens-Corning Fiberglas employees) showing the desire to delay putting labels on asbestos products to warn users of its hazards.

“I naturally would
like to delay this...”
(putting danger labels on asbestos)
“as long as possible.”

"Reference is made to your memo of September 15 regarding the warning label that should appear on Kaylo" (a dangerous asbestos product). "Are you saying that we have to do this now? I naturally would like to delay this requirement as long as possible."
