Robin at 2 years

Robin's Story

When Robin Benoit was an infant, she was exposed to toxic fibers that were unknowingly brought into the house on her father's industrial work clothes. The deadly fibers attached to the carpet, drapes, couch, and to her father's recliner where he often played with Robin after arriving home from work. Robin's father did not know that he was poisoning her.

Due to the long latency period, Robin was struck with disease 38 years later. Now 40 with two young children, she has recently been diagnosed with a rare cancer caused by exposure to these toxins. With only months to live, Robin worries about the future of her children.

"Wreckless decisions made 40 years ago by industry are haunting families three generations later."

"I'm not scared about dying, but what's to become of my two kids when I'm gone?"
